This season a key trend is collars. Collars have become popular in playsuits, tops, dresses and jackets. It goes well with most of the other current trends. Collars work perfectly with an industrial english look, paired with manly brogues and tapered trousers. Collars also can work with textures such as fur and lace for either a fiercely expensive look or more girly look. One more trend which is cropping up currently is block colouring, this is really popular with collars, for example to have a red tone shirt with a white collar.
Listen while you read: this is by belle and sebastian, one of my favourite bands atm.
Firstly, COLLARS + DRESSES
Usually sleeveless, which is cute and works well for the summer. Collared dresses are also good with low loop armholes so you can see a little bit of your side.

COLLARS + SLEEVELESS TOPS
Sleeveless collared tops are very useful for summer. they are really cute in block colours, this means they can be tucked into vintage levi shorts for a summery casual look, into jeans for a smarter look or into a pretty floral skirt for a more girly and tea party look. I personally think they look really nice in muted tones, try mustard yellows, dark reds, denim, and beige.

COLLARS + LONG TOPS
Collars also look great on long tops. These are part of the boyfriend, or if you like, grandad, look. Basically a mans garment. They look fab in any sort of colour pattern or design and can be matched with almost anything. Tucking into simple blue jeans with the bottoms rolled up for a straightforward but v. stylish look. Unbuttoned over a crop top and skirt or shorts for a casual look and to protect you from the sun, a cream or white shirt tucked into dungaree shorts with bare legs, or even unbuttoned over a smart dress. The uses are endless.

Hello all (or not.. since im not sure how many people actually read this lol.)
This saturday i went on a bit of a frenzy, dip dying, tie dying, dying and bleaching stuff.
Bit of a splurge actually, I will tell you what i made: Dipped vintage levi shorts half in purple dye so
they are faded into purple (inspired by runwaydreamz which have been featured in blogs and mags alot lately), a black tie dye tshirt which i am planning to sew into a cropped top with buttons, dyed a bra purple, poured bleach on some jeans which i nicked from my friend rachel- it looks really cool but i forgot they didnt fit so feel free to say if you are like a size 24 waist, me and my beauts freind fran also attempted to dip dye our hair but it didnt really work.
SO after that little essay. a tune or two? EMMA PALEY i owe you for this one
